Shintaido Leadership Training offers leadership and team building workshops to businesses, nonprofits and other groups. The training incorporates body movements and relaxation techniques derived from Shintaido, a Japanese martial art.
You will:
– Discover how developing sensitivity through movement can make you a more effective manager, leader, or team member.
– Practice leading other people and groups in movements.
– Learn to follow the movements of others with flexibility and a relaxed state of mind.
– Find how to authentically communicate through movement as well as through words.

About our workshop leaders:
Bela Breslau has been a Shintaido instructor for nearly twenty-five years. She has the rank of nidan in Shintaido bojutsu. She has recently moved with her husband, Stephen Billias, to Deerfield, Massachusetts where they both are teachers at the new Shintaido Farm center.
Stephen Billias has been an Instructor in Shintaido since 2001. He is also ranked shodan in Shintaido bojutsu. He lives and teaches at the Shintaido Farm in Deerfield, Massachusetts.
Directions: From 91 North:
Take exit 24 (Deerfield) Turn right at the end of the ramp At the traffic light, turn right onto Rte 116 (towards SunderlandAmherst) Go 1.4 miles, going straight through the traffic light. About .2 miles after the light, turn left onto River Road just before the blue bridge across the Connecticut River. If you cross the Connecticut River, you’ve missed River Road. Continue 6.3 miles on River Road, and the Farm will be on your left – the mailbox has flowers painted on it: 595 River Road. From Greenfield: TakeRoute 5 & 10 towards South towards Old Deerfield Just after going over Deerfield River Bridge and seeing sign for Deerfield, take a left onto River Road. Continue on River Road for 3.2 miles 595B River Road is on the right. There is a white farmhouse and barns. Turn into the driveway. Continue up driveway between the farmhouse and barns to upper site.
