Virtual worlds aren’t just for gaming and kids anymore. Find out about the latest advances, trends, and how you can use virtual worlds in business. Maria will speak about the business uses of virtual worlds, such as meetings and conferences, rapid prototyping, and training. She will also talk about the rise of open source, business-friendly alternatives to Second Life.

Maria Korolov is editor and publisher of Hypergrid Business. She also runs an editorial content company, Trombly International. She has been a journalist for more than twenty years and has worked for the Chicago Tribune, Reuters, and Computerworld. She has reported from over a dozen countries, including Russia, China, India, Afghanistan and Chechnya. Today, she writes about enterprise uses of virtual worlds and other enterprise technology topics.
