Posting Guidelines for Employment Ads on the Discussion List

Local employers are welcome to post employment ads on the Hidden-Tech Email Discussion List, which has more than 600 subscribers. Ads from outside area employers will be reviewed by the Hidden-Tech Board with the criteria that the goal of Hidden-Tech is to promote growth in the local region.

All job posts must be in standard text format in the body of an email message to the list (no attachments of any kind are allowed). Providing links to further information is perfectly fine. The ads should be posted with an email address for job seekers to send their resumes to.

Postings from other organizations will be considered on a case-by-case basis, including: does it relate to the Hidden-Tech mission, and will the organization reciprocate.

Please post sparse, clean messages to the list (example: "snip" or delete the previous discussion thread in the body of your email before posting to the list - keep your listing posting new and clean). Also, we request that 'me too' and 'thanks for responding' messages be sent off list to the person you want to respond to.

Attachments are not be allowed on the list, they tend to be large, problematic for spam filters, and do not archive correctly. Post the attachment to a web site and link to it from your discussion list posting.

REMINDER: This is a volunteer group, please do as much as you can before you ask for help.

Hidden-Tech receives a high volume of messages on our email discussion list, and the members of this list have made it clear that they expect these messages to be screened carefully. For messages to be posted to the list, they need to be "on-topic" and relevant to our list.
